Mandatory North Carolina Fee Disclosures

In-Person Notarization Fees

To ensure full compliance with G.S. 10B, please note our in-person billing structure:

  • Statutory Fee Caps: By law, we charge$10 per signature for paper notarizations and$15 per signature for electronic notarizations.
  • Travel Reimbursement: Travel fees are based on the currentFederal Business Mileage Rate and must be agreed upon in writing by the principal before the appointment.
  • Transparent Invoicing: All invoices will clearly separate the Notary Fee (the seal) from Administrative/Travel Fees (the service).
  • Advance Agreement: All non-notarial fees (printing, wait time, convenience) must be agreed upon by the client and the notaryprior to the meeting.

Remote Notarization Fees

To ensure full compliance with North Carolina Secretary of State regulations (G.S. 10B-31), our remote online notarization fees are structured as follows:

  • Statutory Notary Fee:$25.00 per notarized principal signature.
  • Technology & Convenience Fee: $25 per session. (Note: This non-notarial fee covers the cost of the state-approved secure video platform, mandated identity credential analysis, and electronic document storage. As required by law, this fee will be clearly invoiced and must be agreed upon prior to the session.)
